One email address, one code, and you are in.
What WEFT collects, and what it never showsYour email, date of birth and country. Administrators never see them. You can download everything WEFT holds, or delete your account for real, at any time.
- What we collect at signup
- Your email address, your date of birth, the fact that you confirmed you are 18 or older and when, the country where you live (and, in the United States, your state), and which version of this notice you accepted. Your date of birth is used to apply the adults-only rule and for nothing else; it is never used for matching, ranking, or segmentation.
- Why we collect it
- To keep WEFT to adults, to know which places we operate in, to authenticate you, and to record that you were told what this notice says. WEFT is a working system, not a demonstration: the accounts, requests, and consent decisions in it are real.
- What administrators cannot see
- Organization and community administrators can never see your requests, who you were matched with, your consent decisions, your private notes, your threads, or your activity in other contexts. This is enforced in the database itself, not by policy alone.
- Withdrawal and deletion
- You can leave at any time and request full deletion of your account. Deletion is real: your data is removed rather than flagged as hidden. A short, disclosed list of exceptions is retained: the financial ledger, the tamper-evident audit chain, a content-free safety referral log, and a pseudonymized record that consent was given. You are shown that list before you confirm.
- What we never do
- We never sell your data, never train models on your content, never send invitations on your behalf, never build profiles of people who have not joined, and never infer sensitive attributes about you.
